ICA Welcomes James Edwards

The ICA welcomes James Edwards, Chief Managing Officer for the Juvenile Division of McHenry County Probation and Court services as the chair of the ICA's Publications/Public Relations Committee.  Mr. Edwards has worked in the field of community corrections for the past 22 years. He began his career as a juvenile probation officer in DeKalb County, Illinois, and continued his work in the criminal justice system working with adult offenders and families for the Osage Tribe in Oklahoma and then establishing one of the first drug treatment court programs there.  Mr. Edwards returned  to Illinois and accepted a position in Chicago with the Cook County Social Service Department. Mr. Edwards received both his BA and MA in sociology/criminology at Northern Illinois University.  He is a licensed clinical professional counselor (LCPC), specializing in work with juveniles, adults, and families involved in the CJS. His wife, Nancy, is a clinical psychologist, and they have three children. Mr Edwards brings over 25 years of experience to the ICA, and we look forward to working with him.
