Jose M. Prado is an IDOC Parole Agent with more than 28 years of service and extensive experience in union leadership, staff wellness and advocacy. He currently serves as IDOC Parole Coordinator for the Staff Wellness Response Team, is a certified Staff Wellness Specialist and was elected Treasurer of the Illinois Correctional Association in 2022.

An Illinois Department of Corrections professional since 2003, he currently serves as Business Administrator at Hill Correctional Center. His career also includes serving two terms in the Illinois General Assembly and as a congressional aide. He resides in the Quad Cities with his wife.
